When the sustain mode is set to DEFAULT pressing the sustain pedal produces sustain with decay, like an acoustic piano. When the sustain mode is set to HOLD, the sustain is maintained indefinitely ­ ideal for organ, strings, pads, or similar voices. The actual sustain effect produced will depend on the selected voice. Two selection windows appear in the VOICE display: CATEGORY and VOICE. When you select a part via the LCD [1] ~ [8] buttons a line appears between the selected part name and the VOICE window, clearly indicating the part to which the voice selection will apply.
