G Hydraulic brake and clutch systems · After disassembling the brake or clutch master cylinders, caliper cylinders or clutch release cylinder, always change the fluid. Regularly check the brake and clutch fluid levels and fill the reservoirs as required. · Replace the oil seals on the inner parts of the brake or clutch master cylinders, caliper cylinders and clutch release cylinder every two years. · Replace the brake and clutch hoses every four years or if cracked or damaged. 6-7 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR EAU18712 Removing and installing cowlings and panels The cowlings and panels shown need to be removed to perform some of the maintenance jobs described in this chapter. Refer to this section each time a cowling or panel needs to be removed and installed. 1. Quick fastener screw Cowling A 6 To remove the cowling 1. Remove the quick fastener screw by turning it 1/4 turn counterclockwise, and then take the cowling off. 1.
