[. . . ] OWNER'S MANUAL TW200X TW200XC LIT-11626-21-33 10D-28199-11 EAU10041 INTRODUCTION EAU10080 Congratulations on your purchase of the Yamaha TW200X/TW200XC. This model is the result of Yamaha's vast experience in the production of fine sporting, touring, and pacesetting racing machines. It represents the high degree of craftsmanship and reliability that have made Yamaha a leader in these fields. This manual will give you an understanding of the operation, inspection, and basic maintenance of this motorcycle. [. . . ] After extensive tests, only the tires listed below have been approved for this model by Yamaha Motor Co. , Ltd. G G WARNING It is dangerous to ride with a worn-out tire. When a tire tread begins to show crosswise lines, have a Yamaha dealer replace the tire immediately. The replacement of all wheeland brake-related parts, including the tires, should be left to a Yamaha dealer, who has the necessary professional knowledge and experience. It is not recommended to patch a punctured tube. If unavoidable, however, patch the tube very carefully and replace it as soon as possible with a 6-18 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR high-quality product. EAU21940 EAU22011 Spoke wheels To maximize the performance, durability, and safe operation of your motorcycle, note the following points regarding the specified wheels. G The wheel rims should be checked for cracks, bends or warpage, and the spokes for looseness or damage before each ride. If any damage is found, have a Yamaha dealer replace the wheel. Do not attempt even the smallest repair to the wheel. A deformed or cracked wheel must be replaced. G The wheel should be balanced whenever either the tire or wheel has been changed or replaced. An unbalanced wheel can result in poor performance, adverse handling characteristics, and a shortened tire life. G Ride at moderate speeds after changing a tire since the tire surface must first be "broken in" for it to develop its optimal characteristics.
