TUNING l h l h Notes · If you tune into an FM station, it is automatically received in monaural mode to increase signal quality. · When tuned into a station, the frequency of that station is shown in the front panel display. If a Radio Data System station that employs the PS data service is received, the station name is displayed instead of the frequency. See page 15 for details. English 11 TUNING Presetting stations Automatically presetting FM stations You can use the automatic preset tuning feature to store FM stations. This function enables this unit to automatically tune into FM stations with strong signals, and to store up to 40 (8 stations in 5 groups, A1 through E8) of those stations in order. You can then recall any preset station easily by selecting the preset station number. Notes · Any stored station data existing under a preset number is cleared when you store a new station under that preset number. · If the number of received stations does not reach 40 (E8), automatic preset tuning has automatically stopped after searching all stations. · Only FM stations with sufficient signal strength are stored automatically by automatic preset tuning.
