GB 19 Rear view A: fixing point B: mains cable C: wall fixing bracket C C The fixing point A of the cooker hood is to be hooked to wall bracket C which is tightly fixed to the wall using the provided plugs. Internal housing D:fan housing E: ballast for fluorescent strip lamp F: control board G:lamp housing D 031293-0140 G F Control panel To gain access to the concealed control panel F apply slight pressure to the front edge of the cover and the panel will spring open, hinged at the rear. A: lighting switch B: fan switch F C: speeds switch Underside view D: metal grease filters They can be washed in hot water and mild detergent or can be cleaned in a dishwasher. [. . . ] · Remove the screws fixing front panel F from inside. · Remove the panel as indicated. F Internal side: · Loosen the screws and remove the fixing bracket (S) · Remove the metal front panel (P) and all what is necessary to remove the external trim of the panel. P S · Once the external trim has been removed (not before), prepare the personalized panel ensuring the dimensions of the trim is the same size as indicated by the arrows: the personalized front panel's dimensions must just pass through the indicated points. GB 26 The personalized front panel may have a thickness of about 4-5mm. If a front panel of more than 5mm thickness is used, the gasket is to be removed. · Insert the personalized front panel inside the trim in the direction indicated by the arrow. · Put the front panel on a soft plan. Care should be taken not to scratch or damage the surfaces · Push the personalized panel in the indicated direction. · The metal panel should be inserted in the same way pushing towards the corner as shown in the picture. · Put the panel upside down and apply the gasket as shown. (The gasket is not required for personalized panels with a thickness of more than 5mm). · Refit the fixing bracket and fasten the three screws as shown in the picture. · Replace the front panel inserting it from the base. · Fit the 6 internal and the 3 lower screws to fix the front panel. Replacing the decorative trims. · Remove the trims pulling for-wards and acting on the lower part. GB 27 INSTALLATION Before commencing the installation, consideration should be given to the difficulties to be found during installation and to the bulky weight of the hood. The installation work must be undertaken by a qualified and competent person observing the requirements of the authorities concerned relating to the discharge of exhaust air. The manufacturer disclaims all liability for any damage or injury caused as a result of not following the instructions for installation contained in the following text. Fixing the wall brackets (cooker hood without chimney) · Draw the fixing point of each bracket on the wall with a distance of 470mm from the corner and a height of H+205mm where H is the hieght of the visible part of the splashback (if bought). · Height H is to be measured directly on the splashback. · If the hood is to be installed without a splashback it must not be less than 650mm (minimum distance). · Pilot drill the hole positions using a ø8mm drill and fix the bracket using the rawl plugs and screws supplied. Fitting a single splashback (optional) · Position the splashback to the rear edge of the worktop. · Make sure the two sides 3 and 4 of the splashback fit correctly behind the worktop, against the wall. · Mark on the wall the holes 1-2 and pilot drill the hole positions using a ø8mm drill. · Fix the splashback along the upper edge using screws and plugs provided. (The fixing of the lower edge is left to the discretion of the installer). Fitting a splashback in three parts (optional) · Position the three pieces of the splashback to the rear edge of the worktop. · Make sure the two lower lugs are behind the worksurface against the wall. [. . . ] · Remove the lamp. Replace by reversing the operations. GB 32 Cleaning For the normal external cleaning of the hood: · do not use wet clothes or sponges · do not use abrasive cleaning materials, especially when cleaning stainless steel surfaces · do not use thinners or alcohols that could opacify the painted surfaces.
