Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Care must be taken to ensure that the appliance does not stand on the electrical supply cable. The domestic refrigerators and freezers are designed to be used specifically for the storage of edible foodstuffs only. Frozen food must not be re-frozen once it has been thawed out. Manufacturers' storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to. [. . . ] Refer to your local Service Centre, and always insist on genuine spare parts. This appliance does not contain gasses which could damage the ozone layer, in either its refrigerant circuit or insulation materials; it must nevertheless be disposed of in a proper manner, in accordance with regulations for protection of the environment. 03/98 2222 150-46 3 INSTALLATION If this appliance featuring magnetic door seals is to replace an older appliance having a spring lock on the door or lid, be sure to make that spring lock unusable before you discard the old appliance. This will prevent it from becoming a death-trap for a child. 2 Location The appliance should be installed well away from sources of heat such as radiators, boilers, direct sunlight etc. Best performance is obtained with ambient temperature between +18°C and +43°C (class T); +18°C and +38°C (class ST); +16°C and +32°C (class N); +10°C and +32°C (class SN). The class of your appliance is shown on its rating plate. Make sure that there is nothing at the back, at the top and at the bottom of the appliance to obstruct air circulation. For a more efficient operation of the appliance the minimum distance between the top of the appliance and other overhanging kitchen furniture, if any, should be at least 100 mm (Fig. 1-B (without overhanging kitchen furniture). The appliance sides may also be in contact with the kitchen furniture, provided that air can circulate free in the rear and top part. One or more adjustable feet mounted on the base of the appliance make it possible to set it perfectly level. The holes that are not used are to be masked with the plastic plugs removed. Attention After completion of the door reversibility operation, verify that the door gasket is adherent to the cabinet. If the ambient temperature is cold (i. e. in Winter), the gasket may not fit perfectly to the cabinet. In that case, wait for the natural fitting of the gasket or accelerate this process by heating up the part involved with a normal hairdrier. D162 D185 B D473 Fig. 5 5 USE Start-up - temperature regulation After plugging the appliance, turn the thermostat knob located at the top right of the fridge, clockwise to the required position (apart from position «O» - off). Temperature is kept constant automatically and can be increased by turning the knob to lower numbers, or reduced by turning it to higher numbers. Proper setting is achieved by keeping in mind that the temperature inside the fridge depends on the following factors: room temperature; number of times the door is opened; quantity of food stored; location of the appliance. To turn the appliance off, set the thermostat knob to «O». In this refrigerator the refrigerating compartment temperature may be regulated not only by using the thermostat but also by operating on the baffleplate placed under the evaporator (Fig. 6 Refrigeration of food The refrigerator compartment is used to store foods and drinks. [. . . ] 10 D113 Storage of frozen food The compartment is also suitable for the storage of frozen foods; in this case follow these simple rules: Turn the thermostat knob to the coldest setting (if the room temperature is lower than 20°C it is necessary to arrange the baffleplate so as to obtain a higher temperature in the refrigerating compartment). Remember that, in this condition, the refrigerating compartment temperature might drop below 0°C. If this occurs reset the thermostat knob to a warmer setting. Make sure that the frozen foods have been correctly stored by the retailer. [. . . ]
