[. . . ] For this reason 50°C wash programmes in which concentrated detergents are used can achieve the same results that can otherwise only be achieved using 65°C programmes. Detergent tablets Detergent tablets of different brands dissolve at different speeds. For this reason some detergent tablets cannot develop their full cleaning power during short programmes. Therefore please use normal programmes with prewash when using detergent tablets. 24 Washing programmes Programme Type of load and degree of soil Required programme push button Cycle description (3) Consumption values Programme duration (in minutes) Energy consumption (in kWh) Water consumption (in litres) Rinse and Hold Any. This programme, developed for the use of detergents with enzymes, allows to achieve, with reduced consumption of energy the same cleaning results that would otherwise be obtained only with the 65°C programmes and conventional detergents. To compensate the lower temperature, the duration of the programme has been extended. (2) This is a special programme for quick washing a full load of lightly soiled dishes, glasses and crockery (except pots) so that you may re-use them promptly. (3) The consumption values are intended as a guide and depends on the pressure and the temperature of the water and also by the variations of the power supply. 25 Starting a washing programme In this fully integrated appliance, the controls are located on the top of the door. When selecting a programme, the door needs to be slightly open. 6. End of the washing programme The dishwasher will automatically stop and an intermittent audible signal will be heard when the programme has ended. The indicator light of the programme just ended turns off and the "end of programme" indicator light starts flashing. Wait until the end of the audible signal before opening the door. (Note: if during the end of programme audible signal the door is opened, the dishwasher will anyhow complete both audible signal and programme) Hot steam may escape from the appliance when opening the door immediately after the end of the programme, therefore, open the door carefully. Open the door and switch off the dishwasher by pressing the On/Off push button or select a new washing programme by pressing one of the programme push buttons. 1. Check that the baskets have been loaded correctly and that the spray arms can rotate freely 2. Press the On/Off push button The On/Off indicator light comes on 4. Setting and starting the programme Press the programme push button which corresponds to the programme you wish to select (see "Washing programmes" chart). [. . . ] A hot water supply is not always efficient with very soiled crockery as it shortens the washing programmes a lot. For making the connection itself, the coupling nut fitted to the machine's supply hose is designed to screw onto either a 3/4" inch gas thread spout or to a purpose made quick-coupling tap such as the Press-block. The water pressure must be within the limits given in the technical specifications. Your local Water Authority will advise you on the average mains pressure in your area. [. . . ]
