[. . . ] Since the temperature under the heating element does not exceed 80° in normal use, frying waste falls into the cold zone and does not flow back into the frying bowl when it is used later on. PUTTING INTO SERVICE The fitted top is fixed into the work surface. The protective blue plastic must next be carefully removed. It is then ready to receive in order: 1. [. . . ] By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. For more detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product. IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS The element of such an electric fryer with a cold zone cannot operate in the open air: it must always be dipped in oil or fat. Consequently, blocks of fat must never be melted directly onto the element. CAUTION: IF YOU USE A SOLID VEGETABLE OR ANIMAL FAT, IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO EMPTY IT INTO THE FRYING BOWL MELTED BEFOREHAND. The level to which the bowl is filled must be between the minimum a nd maximum marks engraved on the vertical side wall of the bowl for an optimal result. If you use deep-frozen foods or foods containing a lot of humidity, keep a close eye on your fryer. When it comes into contact with water, oil boils heavily and sometimes risks spilling over. If you use fat and not oil in your fryer, it is advisable (using a knife or a fork) to make holes in the fat before starting the fryer. That will avoid splashing if air bubbles are caught inside. Do it delicately so as not to strike the probes placed on the heating element The safety thermostat is a 2nd temperature measurement. Should any problems arise, it automatically cuts off the electric supply to the fryer. It can be automatically restarted by hand under the housing by pushing the small red button (Fig. 3). SOME HINTS The ideal frying temperature is between 150°C and 180°C. Above those temperatures, oil quickly deteriorates. If you use too low a temperature, food is not sealed on the surface and becomes impregnated with grease. It goes without saying that the thicker the pieces to be cooked are, the longer they must stay in the frying bath. [. . . ] Do not hesitate to put it in your dishwasher. The basket is cleaned with a detergent like regular dishes. The electric element and housing: clean them with a damp cloth. [. . . ]
