Remove the fridge door by releasing it from the top hinge pin (A). Remove the pin and the washer (A+B) from the top hinge (C), then mount these on the opposite side, after having removed the plugs which must be refitted on the other side. Replace the middle hinge to the left hand side. Screw down the bottom hinge (E) on the opposite side by using the screws previously removed. To help you get the best out of the freezing process, here are a few hints: Freeze only good-quality, fresh and well-cleaned foods. Split them into small portions to speed up freezing and to avoid having to thaw more food than you require. It is in fact important to remember that once food has thawed out, it deteriorates fast. Another point to remember is that lean foods keep better and longer than fatty foods. Wrap food in foil or polythene film, ensuring that the wrapping adheres closely to the food and is well sealed. In this way, by avoiding contact with air, the colour flavour and nutritional value of the food remains intact. Never freeze a higher quantity of food than the maximum amount shown on the rating plate of the appliance. During the freezing process, do not add further food for freezing and do not open the freezer door. If there happens to be a power failure do not open the freezer door. If the freezer is completely full, frozen products will not be affected. [. . . ] Bear in mind that when the fan is operating, the recommended position for the thermostat knob is between 2 and 4. It is also advisable not to turn the fan on if the temperature inside the compartment is cool enough: this will reduce energy consumption. Movable shelves The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a series of runners so that the shelves can be positioned as desired. For better use of space, the front half-shelves can lie over the rear ones. 7 D346 17 Positioning the door shelves To permit storage of food packages of various sizes, the door shelves can be adjusted in height.
