Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Parts which heat up should not be exposed. Wherever possible the back of the product should be against a wall. If the appliance has been transported horizontally, it is possible that the oil contained in the compressor flows in the refrigerant circuit. It is advisable to wait at least two hours before connecting the appliance to allow the oil to flow back in the compressor. Service / Repair Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. [. . . ] Best performance is obtained with ambient temperature between +18°C and +43°C (class T); +18°C and +38°C (class ST); +16°C and +32°C (class N); +10°C and +32°C (class SN). The class of your appliance is shown on its rating plate. For a more efficient operation of the appliance the minimum distance between the top of the appliance and other overhanging kitchen furniture, if any, should be at least 100 mm (Fig. 1-B (without overhanging kitchen furniture). The appliance sides may also be in contact with the kitchen furniture, provided that air can circulate free in the rear and top part. One or more adjustable feet mounted on the base of the appliance make it possible to set it perfectly level. For the models designed to be built in the furniture it is necessary to follow the specific instructions regarding building in. Fig. 1 100 mm A 10 mm B 10 mm NP006 Rear spacers In the plastic envelope containing the Operating Instructions are also included two wall spacers to be fitted into the special openings provided on the back of the appliance. Push-fit the spacers into the openings, making sure that arrow (A) is positioned as per Fig. 2 and then turn the spacers through 45° until they lock in (arrow in vertical position). 2 45° D039 4 Power connection Before plugging in the appliance to the mains socket, check that the voltage and frequency indicated on the appliance's rating plate are the same as those provided by your home power supply. 5 Electrical connection Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage and frequency shown on the serial number plate correspond to your domestic power supply. Voltage can vary by ±6% of the rated voltage. For operation with different voltages, a suitably sized auto-transformer must be used. D162 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION The technical data is indicated in the rating plate on the left side inside the appliance. GB 6 USE Start-up - temperature regulation After plugging the appliance, turn the thermostat knob located at the top right of the fridge, clockwise to the required position (apart from position «O» - off). Temperature is kept constant automatically and can be increased by turning the knob to lower numbers, or reduced by turning it to higher numbers. Proper setting is achieved by keeping in mind that the temperature inside the fridge depends on the following factors: room temperature; number of times the door is opened; quantity of food stored; location of the appliance. To turn the appliance off, set the thermostat knob to «O». In this refrigerator the refrigerating compartment temperature may be regulated not only by using the thermostat but also by operating on the baffleplate placed under the evaporator (Fig. 6 GB D138 To obtain a lower temperature move the baffleplate forward, to obtain a higher temperature move it backward. It is advisable to move the baffleplate backward when the room temperature is lower than +20°C (Fig. 7 D136 7 Refrigeration of food The refrigerator compartment is used to store foods and drinks. For best results, see the following rules: do not put warm foods or evaporating liquids in the refrigerator; cover or wrap foods (particularly if they have a strong smell or contain aromatic herbs); do not cover the shelves with paper or plastic since this blocks circulation of air in the compartment. [. . . ] Make sure that the interval between the time when you buy the frozen foods and when you put them in the freezer is short. Do not exceed the dates of expiry marked on the packages by the manufacturer. After a period when the appliance is not used, make it run for at least two hours with the thermostat knob turned to the coldest setting before placing the frozen foods in it. If in the evaporator are not stored frozen foods, to obtain a lower power consumption and a better refrigeration of the foods it is advisable to arrange the baffleplate so as to obtain a lower temperature in the refrigerating compartment. Defrosting During operation, the evaporator of the refrigerator compartment gets covered with frost which must be removed because, being a thermal insulator, prevents the even distribution of cold.
