Do not use detergents which will leave an odour or abrasive powders on the interior, as these will damage the finish. NP002 Rear spacers In the bag with the documentation, there are two spacers which must be fitted in the two top corners. Slacken the screws and insert the spacer under the screw head, then re-tighten the screws. 2 D594 13 Door reversal directions Before starting work, unplug the appliance. To reverse the opening direction of the door proceed as follows: Remove the plastic cover (A) (which has a clip-in fitting) masking the bottom hinge; Remove bottom hinge (C); Slide out the lower door from middle hinge (H) and remove the latter; Slide out the upper door from pin (D), unscrew the latter and then screw it down into the hinge provided on the opposite side; Refit the upper door and the middle hinge on the opposite side; Refit the lower door and bottom hinge (C) on the opposite side, after having removed the plugs (B) and screws; these must then be refitted in the holes on the opposite side; Refit the plastic cover (A) on the bottom hinge. Remove the handles, after having removed the screw cover and refit it on the opposite side. The holes that are not used must be masked with the plastic plugs removed. The doors can be aligned by adjusting the middle hinge (H) horizontally, with the help of a tool, after having slackened two screws, as shown in Fig. Attention After completion of the door reversibility operation, check that the door gasket adheres to the cabinet. If the ambient temperature is cold (i. e. in Winter), the gasket may not fit perfectly to the cabinet. In that case, wait for the natural fitting of the gasket or accelerate this process by heating up the part involved with a normal hairdrier. Note The panel size should be 1-2 mm smaller than the door; the maximum permissible panel thickness is 4 mm. 3b H Fitting the door panels (for models equipped with door frame) To fit the door panel, proceed as follows: remove the fixing screws and remove the frame side opposite the handle; loosen, without removing them, all remaining screws fixing the door frame; insert the panel from the side on which the frame has been removed and push it fully in; refit the frame side and tighten all the screws. Operating pilot light B Operation - Temperature adjustment After cleaning the appliance's interior, connect the plug to the wall socket. The temperature inside both the refrigerating and freezing compartments is regulated with the thermostat knob (A). Start by using a medium setting (the operating pilot light comes on) and then, later, select the thermostat position most suitable for your requirements. The temperature is adjusted automatically and may be increased (less cold) by turning the knob towards the lower settings or may be decreased (more cold) by turning it towards the higher settings. The correct position, however, must be selected by taking into account that the internal temperature depends on the following factors: room temperature; the number of times the door is opened; the amount of stored food; the location of the appliance. The operation is interrupted by turning the control knob until its pointer coincides with symbol «O». [. . . ] Small pieces may even be cooked still frozen, directly from the freezer: in this case, cooking will take longer. The freezer compartment, however, will become progressively covered with frost. This should be removed with the special plastic scraper provided, whenever the thickness of the frost exceeds 4 mm. During this operation it is not necessary to switch off the power supply or to remove the foodstuffs. However, when the ice becomes very thick on the inner liner, complete defrosting should be carried out and it is advisable to carry out this operation when the appliance is empty. [. . . ]
