[. . . ] Best performance is obtained with ambient temperature between +18°C and +43°C (class T); +18°C and +38°C (class ST); +16°C and +32°C (class N); +10°C and +32°C (class SN). The class of your appliance is shown on its rating plate. For building-in instructions, see the relevant section. Electrical connection Before you plug the appliance into a mains supply, make sure that the voltage and frequency shown on the rating plate correspond to your home supply. A 6% fluctuation above or below the rated voltage is admissible. To adapt the appliance to other voltages, use a suitable autotransformer. It is essential that the appliance be connected to an efficient earth tap. For this purpose the supply cable plug incorporates a special earth contact. If the sockets of your domestic wiring system are not grounded, have the appliance connected to a separate ground wire by a qualified electrician in accordance with the existing safety regulations. PR34 Fig. 8 4 3 180° 1 PR232 2 14 USE Operation - Temperature regulation Rotate the thermostat knob clockwise until reaching the desired position (beyond the «O» = stop position); the best position is between 3 and 4. The temperature is automatically regulated and can be increased to achieve a higher temperature (less cold) by rotating the thermostat toward lower settings or diminished (more cold) rotating the knob towards higher settings. However, the exact setting should be chosen keeping in mind that the temperature inside the refrigerator depends on: room temperature; how often the door is opened; the quantity of food stored; location of appliance. To stop operation, simply turn the thermostat knob to position «O». When the refrigerator is set for the coldest temperatures, with a high surrounding room temperature, it will probably be in constant operation, with consequent frosting of the back wall of the compartment. If this does occur, the knob should be set to obtain a slightly higher temperature. In this way the refrigerator automatically defrosts, with a considerable energy saving. D441 1.
