Method 1. Measure all the ingredients except yeast into baking pan in the order listed above. Tap container firmly to level ingredients then sprinkle yeast in the center of the flour. Insert and lock baking pan securely into baking unit and close lid. The machine will beep when bread is finished. Using hotpads, remove baking pan from unit immediately. The QUICK BAKING cycle cannot be used with this recipe. Measure all the ingredients except yeast into baking pan in the order listed above. - 18 -
RAISIN BREAD
3/4 cup Water 1 Tbsp. Active Dry Yeast When display shows between 3:07 to 3:05, add: 1/2 cup Raisins Method 1. Measure all the ingredients except yeast and raisins into baking pan in the order listed above. Tap container firmly to level ingredients then sprinkle yeast in the center of the flour. Insert and lock baking pan securely into baking unit and close lid. Select BASIC BREAD course then select the desired CRUST CONTROL setting. Place raisins and 1 teaspoon of flour into a plastic bag and shake to coat. When display shows between 3:07 to 3:05 (approximately 45 minutes after pressing START key), open lid and sprinkle raisins. * If you miss the above timing, you will be able to add raisins anytime before display time shows 2:30. The machine will beep when bread is finished. Using hotpads, remove baking pan from unit immediately. [. . . ] Brush with 1 beaten egg white and 1 tablespoon water. Sprinkle with poppy or sesame seeds or coarse salt if desired. Bake at 400 degrees 10 to 15 minutes.
