Application Description
3M Scotchmate Hook and Loop Fasteners SJ-3571 and SJ-3572,  with high temperature acrylic adhesive,  are used to attach the fuse panel cover to the side of the instrument panel on the inside of automobiles.

Process
A specialty converter die-cuts mating pieces of Scotchmate fasteners to a specified shape and size and ships them to the Tier 1 manufacturer. The Tier 1 Instrument Panel manufacturer applies Scotchmate fastener pieces to the fuse panel and cover parts. The automotive OEM manufacturer installs the cover with the mating Scotchmate fastener piece at the appropriate location on the instrument panel of the passenger vehicle after the fuses are installed.
