[. . . ] Use the system key to unlock the housing before proceeding with the disassembly. 1. Hold the right end of the front panel underside support and swing it to the left. Gently press the board until it is properly seated. Attach the required cables to the connectors on the system board. 12 Installation Guide 4. 3 Installing a CPU Board When installing a CPU board into the housing, make sure that you have already installed the CPU module on the board. For information on CPU module installation, refer to the board user's guide. IDT Housing 13 1. Align the CPU board golden fingers with the exclusive connector on the system board. Refer to your system board user's guide for the location of the connector. Carefully install the CPU board until it fits in place. Attach the front end of the CPU board support bar to the hook on the housing frame. Align the support bar with the edge of the CPU board, then insert the protruding tabs of the bar into the holes on the rear of the housing. 2. 3. 4. Do not forget to install the support bar. It helps prevent damage to the CPU and the CPU board during transport. 14 Installation Guide 4. 4 Installing Expansion Boards Observe the ESD precautions in section 4. 1. 1. Study the expansion board installation guide and configure any jumpers as directed. Remove a bracket from any empty expansion slot. Keep the bracket for future use. 2. IDT Housing 15 3.
