[. . . ] When you select CD, tuner, phono or video/aux, these signals are routed to the tape output for recording the selected source. Tape playback is accessed by pressing the tape button. The presence of signal at the tape outputs can be confirmed by pressing the tape monitor button. The five source select buttons are also on the remote control. [9] Tape Monitor Confirms that signals are present at tape outputs. If a three-head tape recorder is connected, activating this circuit will allow direct monitoring from the recording. [12] Volume Knob The front panel volume control knob is motorized. It may be adjusted either by hand or with the volume buttons on the remote control. The volume knob's illuminated LED always indicates the volume level.
