DESCRIPTION The TelPlus is an optional add-on unit that, when added to the Advantage plus Base Module, provides a second telephone line interface with the central monitoring console. You can configure the TelPlus for either a second dial telephone interface, or as the Advantage plus' primary dedicated telephone line then using the Base Module's telephone interface for a backup dial communication line. NOTE: You can configure the Base Module's telephone line connection for either dial line or dedicated line connection (but not both). Use the TelPlus to provide a second telephone line interface. [. . . ] MAKE SURE TelPlus DIAL jumpers JP1 and JP2 are installed, and jumpers JP3 and JP4 are removed. This configures the TelPlus for secondary dial line operation. Plug the RJ cord into the external jack, route into the chassis, and plug the other end to the TelPlus RJ jack (J2). Inside the RJ31X jack, connect the telephone line to pins 4 and 5, and connect the house telephone to pins 1 and 8. INSTALLATION TELPLUS OPTIONS 1. Refer to Figure 2 throughout the installation and setup procedure. Install the external RJ31X jack in a location near the Advantage plus chassis. Be sure to label the dedicated line RJ31X jack so a dial line is not plugged here by mistake.
