When steam ironing, steam is emitted from the holes in the soleplate ­ risk of burns. Power to the steam iron's heating element will be cut and the steam iron will start to cool. 0 To reset the safety auto-off feature, simply move the steam iron. The power to the steam iron's elements will then reconnect and it will begin heating again. Wait until the green light illuminates before recommencing ironing. After 30 seconds the frequency of the beep alarm will decrease. If you find that your steam iron is incapable of steaming or that the temperature control buttons have become inoperable, a fault has occurred. In the event of a fault, the red temperature control light (Fig. 1/E6) located between the +/- temperature buttons will flash. 0 To reset the steam iron, simply unplug the appliance from the power outlet. Start with garments requiring lower temperatures and work your way through to items requiring higher temperatures. Fabrics such as velour, wool, linen and silk are best ironed with an ironing cloth to prevent shine marks.
