A coin is needed to turn the temperature regulator. This makes it more difficult to change the temperature setting accidentally (child protection). Position "0" means: Off Position "1" means: Highest interior temperature (warmest setting) Position "4" means: Lowest interior temperature (coldest setting) Recommended settings: For normal use: position "1" to "2"; For lower temperatures: position "2" to "3". 818 14 33-00/7 17 Initial use 0 Insert plug into mains socket. 0 Turn the temperature regulator to the desired setting with the aid of a coin. The compressor starts and then runs automatically. A warning tone sounds and the red warning light flashes indicating that the required storage temperature has not yet been reached. 0 Press the WARNING OFF button to switch off the warning tone. The warning light and warning tone switch off automatically when the temperature in the freezer compartment drops again and returns to the setting of the temperature regulator. The yellow fast freeze light illuminates. The red warning light remains illuminated until the required temperature has been reached. · Smooth the air out of the bag before sealing; air makes it easier for the frozen food to dry out. · Make flat packages, because these freeze more quickly. · Do not fill plastic containers for frozen goods to the brim with liquid or paste­like goods, because liquids expand during freezing. 0 Once the required storage temperature has been reached, press the fast freeze button again.
