Programme progress display
When you select a programme, the leds corresponding to the different step during the programme light on. When the programme starts, only the concerned led of the programme cycle stays lighted on.
DRUM SELF POSITIONNING (Trommelposition) This light illuminates at the end of the washing cycle when the drum is properly positionned. END (Ende) Indicate the end of the washing cycle. The laundry can be removed from the appliance. OVERDOSE (Überdosiert) The light illuminates if you have used so much detergent during the washing programme. At the time of the next washing, please respect the amount of detergent and do not exceed the maximum level. LID / DOOR (Deckel) When the apppliance is switched on, the led LID / DOOR indicates whether the lid can be opened.

Opening the cover while the appliance is operating

If: - the END OF CYCLE (Ende) light is flashing, - and/or the error code E40 appears in the display window, this indicates that you have tried to start a washing programme without properly closing the cover. If this happens, press the cover down firmly and restart the washing programme.
Action during a programme
Adding of laundry Press the «Start/Pause» pushbutton : the corresponding light flashes as long as the programme is paused. You will then hear a double «click» in the locking device when the cover opens. Press the same pushbutton again to resume the programme. For reasons of safety, you can not open the lid if the temperature of the washing water is too high.
Modifying the current programme
Before modifying the current programme, you must put the washing machine to pause by pressing on the «Start/Pause» pushbutton. If it is impossible to make the modification, the corresponding light flashes for few seconds. If you decide to change the programme in any case, you will need to cancel the current programme (see below).

Cancelling the programme
If you want to cancel a programme, turn the programme selector knob to the «off» position of the programme selector. You can then select a new programme after cancelling the previous one.
End of programme
The appliance is equipped with a security which prevents the opening of the lid during the cycle. During the drum positionning (high position), the DRUM POSITIONNING light (TROMMELPOSITION) illuminates, then the END light illuminates. The START/PAUSE light is off : you can open the lid. The programmes end : · by a spinning (for all washing programmes) if you have not selected the RINSE HOLD position. · by a rinse hold (for all washing programmes) if you have selected the RINSE HOLD position. You can then end these programmes by a spinning or by a draining by setting the programme selector on the chosen programme by the OFF position, then pushing the START/PAUSE pushbutton.
At the end of the cycle, place the programme selector on the «off» position in order to switch off the appliance. Unplug the appliance and switch off the water inlet tap. Check that the drum is empty : any garments left in the appliance may be damaged during the next wash (shrinkage) or their colour may run onto other garments. Installation
Unpacking Packing used to protect internal parts of the washing machine during transport must be removed before the washing machine is put into service for the first time. Remove all packing from the washing machine. Tilt the washing machine sideways and then remove the packing under the motor, and straighten the washing machine.
Tilt the washing machine back-wards, rotate it by a quarter of a turn on one of its corner to remove the transport base.
Open the washing machine lid and remove the immobilization packing and plastic films. Close the lid.
Use a 10 mm spanner to remove the two screws and spacers at the back.

User information You can now see the openings that must be closed with the caches in the pack attached to the washing machine; do not forget to fold down the central capsule.
Make sure that you have removed all these parts from your washing machine and keep them so that you can use them again if you need them for future transport.
If you want to keep your washing machine aligned with the adjacent furniture, you can cut the pipe support strip at the back of your washing machine. [. . . ]
