Note: When cooking with the induction cooking zone you should take into account that ­ the heating-up times are reduced by the direct energy transfer to the pan!­ the cooking process stops immediately after the cooking zone is switched off (no boiling over!) 2 Residual Heat Indicator When an individual cooking zone or the entire hob is switched off, any residual heat is shown with an h (for "Hot") in the digital display for the appropriate cooking zones. Even after the cooking zone has been switched off, the residual heat indicator only goes out when the cooking zone is cold. You can use the residual heat for melting and keeping food warm. As long as the residual heat indicator is illuminated, there is a risk of burns.
