[. . . ] I N F O OPERATING AND ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS GLASS CERAMIC HOB GB CC 3065 Electrolux DEAR CUSTOMER We congratulate you on choosing a ceramic hob of ELECTROLUX. Thus you chose quality, innovation and durability. These operating and assembly instructions will allow you to become acquainted with the appliance and to do everything within its possibilities. 2 CONTENT Please note in particular . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4 Unpacking and control . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [. . . ] Only the cooking zone which is switched on will be heated up. The remaining surface will not get hot. Control panel The hob CC 3065 can be combined with the control panel CP 218. Heat control knobs The control knobs enable the regulation from 1-10 of the heating capacity. The control knobs for the one-circuit (as well as for the inner circle of the two-circuit cooking zone) can be turned to the left and to the right. Setting it back to "0" turns off the cooking zone. Double circuit cooking zone If the second circle of the two-circuit cooking zones (No. 2 and 3) is needed, the control knob concerned has to be turned over position "10" to the final stop from where it automatically springs back to position "10". The temperature can now be controlled by turning back the knob in the opposite direction to the wanted position. Setting it back to "0" turns off the cooking zone. 6 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Halogene cooking zone The halogene cooking zone is heated up very rapidly compared to the normal one-circuit cooking zone. It can be compared with a gas cooking zone, without having its inconveniences. When switched on the halogene lamps immediately effect their full heating power. Use the halogene cooking zone to heat up food quickly. H Residual heat indicator Each cooking zone is related to one indicator. The warning lamp lights up when the surface of the corresponding cooking zone reaches a temperature which could cause burning. This lamp remains lit after the heated-up area has been switched off as long as the residual heat of the corresponding cooking surface can cause burnings. The light will only extinguish when there is no more danger (temperature below 50°C). The remaining heat should be used to get food readycooked or keep food warm. COOKING EQUIPMENT Specially tested cooking and frying pans for ceramic hobs exist. Cooking pans with aluminium or copper bottoms are unsuitable for use. These materials can cause stains that can not be removed anymore. The following advice should be considered to achieve an optimal energy consumption as well as to avoid that overboiling food can be burnt onto the cooking zones. Bottom of pans: Cooking and frying pans should have a flat and solid base. A base with rough edges can scratch and leave abrasion marks on the ceramic surface!Size of pans: Pan or pot diameters should be a little bit larger than the diameter of the cooking zone. Lid of pans: A lid prevents heat to escape. right wrong 7 MAINTENANCE The maintenance remains the same for glass and ceramic hobs. Never use aggressive detergents or scouring powder and sponges with abrasive surfaces. Cleaning after each use Slight, not burnt soiling has to be wiped off with a damp cloth without using detergents. The use of detergents may lead to discolouring. [. . . ] The protection against accidental contact must be ensured by proper installation. (See paragraph of power limitation. ) Attention: If installed in stone, ceramic tiles or lava worktops, the fixing ressorts will not be fastened. Instead, silicone will be put under the cover frame. To avoid that silicone runs down between the glass ceramic hob and the worktop (fig. 3, pos. 1) a sealing will be glued to the ceramic hob (fig. 3, pos. 2). [. . . ]
