Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] In general the more air openings that are provided the better it is for the appliance performance, however in all case the described 2. 25" top clearance opening must be observed regardless of all possible other supplementary openings. Ventilation must not be obstructed by a radiator, television or any other source of heat. Two refrigerators should not be built in, one on top of the other, unless separate ventilation is provided for each. DOOR HANG The position you select for your refrigerator may make it necessary to reverse the door hang. [. . . ] Adjustment of the thermostat dial may therefore be necessary. TEMPERATURE CONTROL The cooling capacity can be adjusted by means of the thermostat. 0 = cooling is switched off, from 1 - 5 the temperature decreases. When the thermostat is at a medium setting (2 or 3) and the ambient temperature is normal, the temperature inside the refrigerator is between 0°C and 7°C. USING THE REFRIGERATOR The refrigerator provides sufficient storage space for most kinds of food, milk, drinks, etc. The shelves on the inside of the door (RA 140 and EA 3140) are suitable for bottles, tins and small packets. All models with the exception of RA 80, EA 3080 and RH 200 are equipped with half-depth cabinet shelves which can be arranged acording to preference. Two can be used together to form a fulldepth shelf or they can be used sepa-rately, leaving space at the front for bottles and other larger items. Ideally all foods should be in covered containers or plastic bags or wrapped in foil or plastic film. This is to prevent flavours passing from one item to another and also to reduce frost build-up on the cooling surfaces due to moisture coming from stored items. 11 CAUTION: Do not keep any easily combustible substances such as ether, petrol, adhesive, propane gas etc. in the refrigerator as this could cause an explosion!ICE CUBES Fill the ice tray to 4/5 with fresh drinking water, cover with the lid and place the closed ice tray on the ice-tray shelf. Ensure that the plug is disconnected when doing this. LONGER PERIODS OF ABSENCE If you wish to switch off the appliance for a longer period of time, pull out the plug, defrost the refrigerator and clean it carefully. Leave the door open to prevent unpleasant odours from forming. Remove the door, together with the two hinges (2), from the housing. Remove the two cover caps (3) from the housing and place them in the open hinge holes in the housing. Place the bottom righthand hinge in the top left of the door and the top righthand hinge in the bottom left of the door and hang the door on its hinges in the open cover cap holes in the housing. Secure the hinges and cover caps with the 8 screws. Check that the door closes easily and is sealed properly. REPLACING THE DECORATIVE DOOR PANEL (fig. 3-5) 13 Remove the two screws (1) from the upper hinge of the door. Pull the door together with the hinge away from the housing and up off the lower hinge bolt (2-3). [. . . ] A new 10-watt bulb can be obtained at any Dometic service shop. TROUBLE-SHOOTING Before you call a service engineer, carry out the following simple tests: Is there a power failure? Is the plug firmly connected to the socket and is the socket switched on?Check the socket by plugging in another appliance, eg a table lamp.
