[. . . ] Warning - This Appliance must be earthed. MOULDED-ON PLUG The mains lead is fitted with a nonrewirable moulded-on 13 amp plug containing a 3 amp fuse. If the fuse requires replacing at any time, the fuse cover/carrier should be removed using a small screwdriver to lever it out. The old fuse should be replaced by a 3 amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse and the fuse cover/carrier must be refitted before the plug is used again. If the fuse cover/carrier is lost, a replacement can be obtained from Electrolux Service Shops. Allow hot food and drink to cool down before placing them in the refrigerator. A new 10-watt bulb can be obtained at any Electrolux service shop. CARE AND MAINTENANCE Defrosting Frost will gradually form on the cooling surfaces and it must not be allowed to become too thick since it impairs the cooling efficiency of the refrigerator. The appliance defrosts automatically on a regular basis and then switches itself on again. The defrosting process is car-ried out by a timer switch operating on a 24hour cycle. Defrost water During the defrosting process the water runs through a hose into a container on the back of the refrigerator where it evaporates. This container does not need to be emptied. Cleaning Clean the inside of your refrigerator regularly to keep it fresh and hygienic. Switch off the appliance and pull out the plug. Clean the interior and fittings carefully with a mild detergent in lukewarm water. Never use acidic, abrasive or strongsmelling detergents or wax polishes as these will damage the surfaces and leave an unpleasant smell. The wooden housing should be dusted from time-to-time or wiped down with a damp cloth. The door seal should only be cleaned with water and rubbed down with talcum powder from time to time.
