The oil contained in the pan may spontaneously ignite through overheating. q Observe the filter change or cleaning intervals. Failure to observe these intervals may cause the risk of fire through fat deposition. If a fire starts; Switch of the cooker hood and the heating zone; Cover the fire , Never use water. At disposal q Help to avoid damages even when the cooker hood should be disposed. Disconnect the power plug and cut the power cord at hood inlet. Check with the authorities for information of how to proceed for disposal. Description of the appliance 1. Outlet grids (Recycling) 3 5 6 Standard accessories included: q Air deflector (recycling) q Connecting ring (Exhausting) q screws and hooks q Template q Chimney support Fig. 1 4 4 1 2 Function The hood may be used as follows: - For air exhausting - For air recycling Exhausting version The air is vented outdoors by a duct which must be connected to connecting ring (S - Fig. 3). The hood cannot be connected to flues of other appliances that run on energy sources other than electricity. Recycling version The air is filtered through a carbon filter and recirculated into the room through the outlet grids (K - Fig. This version is used when there is no exhaust duct for venting outdoors or when it is impossible to install one. 4 Special accessories Active carbon filter When the hood is used in recirculation mode an active carbon filter should be used. Order by the retailer PNC 942 120 389 Installation Unpacking Check that the cooker hood has no damages. Transportation damages should immediately be reported to the one responsible for the transport Damages, faults and eventually missing details should immediately be reported to the seller. Take care of the packing material so that small children cannot play with it. Min. 60 cm. Placement The hood is to be mounted on the wall. When installed, the hood must be not less than 60 cm. 2 Mounting the chimney Electrical connection The hood has a power cord with moulded plug to be connected to a wall outlet of 230 V. Fix the chimney support (10) with two screws 5 x 45 mm (11) and two wall dowels (9) on the wall close to the ceiling. For exhausting version: Fit the connection ring on the top of the hood with two screws Ø 3, 5 x 6, 5 mm (12S) then fit an axhausting pipe long enough to reach the outside (13S). For recycling version: first insert the fixing nooses of the deflector (K) on the rear slot (12K) then fix definitively the deflector (13K) on the top of the hood with two screws Ø 3, 5 x 6, 5 mm on the front holes (12K) . Check that the active carbon filters are mounted, see Fig. [. . . ] To install the filters, place one filter on each side so that they cover the grates protecting the rotor on the motor. Then turn the center handle for the filters in the clockwise direction. To dismount the carbon filters (covering the grates protecting the rotor on the motor) for replacement, turn the central handle in the counter-clockwise direction until the filters are unlocked. 7 Attention Failure to observe the rules for cleaning the appliance and changing and cleaning the filters may cause fires.
