Correct ventilation If the cooker hood is to work correctly there must be an under pressure in the kitchen. It is important to keep the kitchen windows closed and have a window in an adjacent room open. Fig. 3 43 Control Panel - EFC 1420 Best results are obtained by using a low speed for normal conditions and a high speed when odours are more concentrated. Turn the hood on a few minutes before you start cooking, you will then get an under pressure in the kitchen. The hood should be left on after cooking for about 15 minutes or until all the odours have disappeared. The Intensive speed runs for 5 minutes: If the hood is on when the Intensive speed is activated, the hood reverts to previous speed after 5 minutes. If the hood is off when the Intensive speed is activated, the hood will be turned off after 5 minutes. The charcoal filter can be ordered from your local Service Force Centre. h g g i g g h Fig. 7 Disconnect the cooker hood from the main supply. Press (1) the lamp cover (2) and open it. Replace the old bulb with a new one of the same type (3). If the light does not come on, make sure the bulb has been inserted correctly before contacting your local Service Force Centre. 3 1 2 Fig. 7 46 What to do if If your appliance fails to work properly please carry out the following checks. Symptom The cooker hood will not start. . . The cooker hood is not working Solution Check that: The hood is connected to the electricity supply. Check that a fan speed has been selected Check that: The fan speed is set high enough for the task. The kitchen is adequately vented to allow the entry of fresh air. If set up for recirculation, check that the charcoal filter is still effective. [. . . ] Fix the two sections of the structure using 8 screws (2). Place the ceiling hole diagram directly above the cook-top (3 - the center of the diagram must match the center of the cook-top and the edges must be parallel to the sides of the cook-top the side of the diagram with the wording FRONT corresponds to the control panel side). Drill as shown (6 holes for 6 wall plugs 4 plugs for fixture), screw the outer screws leaving a space of about 1 cm. between the screw head and the ceiling (4). [. . . ]
