Circulating air version If the structural conditions do not permit an exhaust pipe to be fitted, the exhaust system can be provided with an additional activated carbon filter, which collects bacteria and odours. The clean air is then returned to the cooking area. The carbon filter (7, 8, 9) is available as a special accessory. Before using for the first time Initial pre-cleaning Clean the outer parts with a cloth moistened with a mild detergent solution to remove possible manufacturing traces. Do not use sharp, abrasive cleaning agents, which could damage the surface. 6 Operation of cooker hood Switching on The fan is switched on automatically to the preselected position of the slide switch (2) by pulling out the extension (1), unless the switch is set fully left at position 0. The air flow can be regulated with slide switch (2). External cleaning Clean the external parts with a cloth moistened with a mild detergent solution. Cleaning the metal filter Warning!Press front lamp cover up and remove downwards at rear. When replacing the lamp use the same model (candle lamp 25 W E14). Clean lamp cover if necessary in mild detergent solution, dry well and replace: insert upwards at front and push in at rear. Ensure that the smooth surface of the lamp cover points outwards. 5 4 10 What to do if . . . Please switch off or remove fuses in the event of a fault or defect. Improper work can result in injury to persons or damage to material. If faults or defects cannot be eliminated with these suggestions, please contact the customer service department. 11 Installation instructions Safety information Warning!The minimum safety spacing "D" between cooking surface and hood is 500 mm for electrical cookers and 700 mm for gas cookers. The unit must be disconnected from the power supply for servicing purposes.
