Damage to the cord may cause a short-circuit, fire and/or electric shock. · Do not use electrical appliances inside the appliance. · Do not keep carbonated drinks or bottles in the freezer compartment. [. . . ] Do not use detergents or abrasive powders, as these will damage the finish. · Remove safety elements used for transportation. Control panel ON/OFF SUPERCOOL A Pilot light (green) B ON/OFF switch C Temperature setting buttons (for warmer temperatures) D Temperature display 12 E Temperature setting buttons (for colder temperatures) F Supercool indicator light (yellow) · Supercool for intensive fridge cooling G Push button for Supercool Starting the appliance · The temperature setting buttons are located at the top of the appliance on the control panel. · Insert the plug into the plug socket. · Press ON/OFF button (B). The green mains pilot indicator (A) illuminates. · The interior lighting comes on. The compressor starts and then runs automatically. To switch off the appliance, press the ON/OFF button (B) until the display goes off. · Press either the "+" (C) or "-" (E) button. The temperature display switches over and the DESIRED temperature currently set flashes on the temperature display. Supercool function The Supercool function is suited for quick cooling of large quantities of goods in the refrigerator, e. g. · The Supercool function is switched on by pressing the Supercool button (G). The Supercool function now ensures intensive cooling. Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if not packed, must not be kept in the refrigerator. · For more thorough cleaning, the top and bottom door sheves can be removed by pulling them in the direction of the arrows, then refitting them in position. Hints Saving Energy · Pay careful attention to where the cabinet is placed. See the section "Installation". When installed correctly the cabinet will consume less energy. · Try to avoid keeping the doors open for long periods or opening the doors too frequently as warm air will enter the cabinet and cause the compressor to switch on unnecessarily often. · Do not place warm foods inside the appliance. Allow warm foods to cool first. 14 Maintenance Unplug the appliance before carrying out any maintenance operation. Warning This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its cooling unit maintenance and recharging must therefore only be carried out by authorised technicians. Changing the light bulb · Should the interior light fail to work, first switch off the appliance and disconnect from the electricity supply. Defrosting · Defrosting the refrigerator compartment is automatic. The defrost water drains out through a trough into a container at the back of the appliance, above the motor compressor, where it evaporates. · Press on the rear hook and at the same time slide the cover in the direction indicated by the arrow. Cleaning Never use metal objects for cleaning your appliance as it may get damaged. NEVER use detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products or wax polishes to clean the interior as these will damage the surface and leave a strong odour.
