Concentrated detergent Modern detergents for dishwashers are almost exclusively lowalcaline concentrated detergents with natural enzymws in tablet form. Using 50°C washing programmes in conjunction with these concentrated detergents reduces pollution and is good for your dishes, as these washing programmes are specially matched to the dirt-dissolving properties of the enzymes in concentrated detergents. It is for this reason that using 50°C washing programmes in conjunction with concentrated detergents can achieve the same cleaning results that can otherwise only be achieved using 65°C washing programmes. If you decide to switch back to the use of the standard detergent system we advise that you: q q Fill up the dispensers for salt and rinse aid again. Adjust the water hardness setting to the highest setting perform up to 3 normal washing programmes without loading any dishes. Adjust the water hardness setting according to the hardness of the water in your area. q NOTE: When using 4 in 1 detergents that integrate also antiglass corrosion agent into "3 in 1" formula, please follow the same instruction as given for "3 in 1" detergents above. Check that the baskets have been loaded correctly and that the spray arms can rotate freely 2. Setting and starting the programme Press the On/Off button; the backlit light will illuminate and the backlit light will flash for about 6 seconds; if other buttons are not pressed in the meantime the flashing backlit light will become static and the Automatic programme will start. If you wish to select another washing programme within the 6 seconds, press the desired programme button, the backlit light of the selected programme flashes for about 6 seconds and then becomes static indicating the start of the washing programme. At this point it is possible to set a new washing programme. If a new washing programme is to be selected, check that there is detergent in the detergent dispenser. Cancel a washing programme in progress Press simultaneously buttons 2 and 3 until only the On/Off backlit light remains illuminated. 7. End of the washing programme The dishwasher will automatically stop. The backlit light of the programme just ended will remain on. The internal light of the dishwasher will illuminate and will remain illuminated for about 30 minutes (only if the dishwasher is not switched off). The On/Off backlit light remains illuminated. NOTE: if the selected programme button is pressed again, before the backlit light has become static, this selection will be cancelled. After about 6 seconds the backlit light becomes static and the Automatic programme will start 5. Setting the "delay start" It is possible to delay the start of the washing from 4 or 8 hours. Press the delay start button within 6 seconds of selecting a programme, until the desired selection is visible. Note: The dishwasher's drying system is provided with a device that allows air to circulate inside the dishwasher to prevent residual steam recondensing on the dishes as water droplets. Once the washing programme has ended this device operates intermittently for other 20 minutes, as long as the dishwasher is switched on. If the On/Off button is pressed or the door is opened during these 20 minutes, the device will be automatically cancelled. Switch off the dishwasher by pressing the On/Off button, the On/Off backlit light and the internal light will turn off. Open the dishwasher's door, leave it ajar and wait a few minutes before removing the dishes; in this way they will be cooler and the drying will be improved. 6. To interrupt or cancel a washing programme in progress Interrupt or cancel a washing programme in progress ONLY if it's absolutely necessary. Hot steam may escape when the door is opened. [. . . ] The sink plug must not be in place when the machine is draining as this could cause the water to syphon back into the machine. If you use a drain hose extension it must be no longer than 2 metres and its internal diameter must be no smaller than the diameter of the hose provided. Electrical connection WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED. The manufacturer declines any responsibility should this safety measure not be observed.
