Knives and other items with sharp points must be loaded in the cutlery basket with their points down or placed in a horizontal position in the upper basket. Avoid opening the door whilst the appliance is in operation, hot steam may escape. [. . . ] Mix spoons with other cutlery to prevent them from sticking together. To make loading of the cutlery basket easier, lower the cutlery basket handle. Arrange items on and underneath the cup racks so that water can reach all surfaces. The central rows of prongs can be easily lowered to improve loading flexibility. Glasses with long stems can be placed upside down in the cup racks. For taller items the cup racks can be folded upwards. The mini cutlery basket must only be placed in the front part of the upper basket, on the left or on the right side. For glasses with long stems (according to the size and dimensions), set the glass holder to the left or right position. Once the countdown of the delay start has elapsed, the washing programme will start automatically and the programme in progress indicator light comes on. Close the door; the countdown will continue from the point at which it was interrupted. The selection of the washing programme and delay start can occur also with the door closed.
