You must read them carefully before installing or using the appliance. Installation · All internal packing must be removed before using the appliance. Serious damage may be caused to the machine or adjacent furniture if the protective transit devices are not removed or are not completely removed. Quantity of detergent to be used The type and quantity of detergent will depend on the type of fabric, load size, degree of soiling and hardness of the water used. Water hardness is classified in so-called "degrees" of hardness. Information on hardness of the water in your area can be obtained from the relevant water supply company, or from your local authority. Follow the product manufacturers' instructions on quantities to use. Pour half a measure of detergent into the main wash compartment and start up the machine. 4. Place the laundry in the drum Open the door. Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time, shaking them out as much as possible.
