Position = cold wash. 3 ON/OFF button Press this button to switch the machine on. Press it again to switch the machine off. 8 Programme selector dial To select the required programme, turn this dial clockwise until the programme letter is exactly opposite the pointer. Before selecting a programme or changing a programme in progress the machine must be switched off by depressing ON/OFF button. 4 Quick wash button By depressing this button on cotton programme "B" and synthetic programme "H" the washing time will be reduced by approx. 30 mins for cotton and by 15 mins for synthetics. To be used for lightly soiled laundry. 5 Extra rinse button By depressing this button on programmes A-B for cotton and linen the machine will perform 4 rinses instead of 3. To be used in areas where the water is very soft or for people allergic to detergents or who have very delicate skin. 10 Washing hints Sorting the laundry Follow the wash code symbols on each garment label and the manufacturer's washing instructions. Sort the laundry as follows: whites, coloureds, synthetics, delicates, woollens.
