Weigh the laundry the first few times you use the appliance. Should an excess of lather accidentally occur, switch off the machine, select the spin programme which is preceded by a drain cycle, to remove the lather and then start the wash again. ¥ Sort the laundry according to the type of fabric, colourfastness and how dirty it is. ¥ Close poppers and zips, and fasten loose buttons. ¥ Load the laundry loosely alternating large items with small ones. ¥ Avoid washing unhemmed or torn items as they may fray. ¥ Before washing, empty all pockets of small objects which may have been left inside (coins, keys, screws, etc. ), as these could damage the drain pump. ¥ When washing curtains, remove the hooks. ¥ It is essential to wash new coloured items separately when washing for the first time.
