Leave the shelf in this position to keep fruit and vegetables fresh longer. The other shelves can be positioned at different heights: Ì Pull the shelf forwards until it can be moved up or down, then remove it. If the thermostat knob has been turned to a colder setting for freezing, turn it back to a warmer setting after 24 hours (or sooner if only a small quantity of food is being frozen); otherwise the temperature in the refrigerator compartment will drop too low. Ì Wrap food in air-tight packs before freezing to prevent it drying out or losing its flavour, and to prevent smells being transmitted to other frozen food.
