Using the Appliance
Starting your appliance and temperature control
1. Press the "+" (3) or "-" (5) button. The temperature display switches to showing the set temperature. Note: Concerning secure food storage temperatures, a refrigerator temperature of 5°C can be regarded as cold enough. The compressor starts and continues to work automatically. When you change the settings, the compressor will not start immediately if it is doing automatic defrosting at the same time. Since the refrigerator quickly reaches the storage temperature after being switched on, you can place the food in immediately.

If the adjustment is stopped and neither button is pressed, the temperature display will switch back to its original function and show the actual temperature after a short while (about 5 seconds). The appropriate storage temperature of food and drink is +5°C.
Temperature Display
The temperature display shows various information: During normal operation the temperature inside the refrigerator (actual temperature) is displayed on the temperature display. At the time of switching on or heating up, the temperature display will show the " " sign until the cold compartment cools down to a temperature between +9 °C and +2 °C. When the temperature is being adjusted, the temperature currently set (desired temperature) flashes on the display field. The display field shows the actual temperature with a delay of maximum 24 hours.
COOLMATIC button
The COOLMATIC function serves for quickly cooling down a vast amount of fresh food put into the refrigerator, for example drinks and salads prepared for a party. The COOLMATIC function can be switched on by pressing the COOLMATIC button (7). The COOLMATIC function provides intensive cooling. The refrigerator automatically switches to a temperature of +2°C. The COOLMATIC function turns off automatically after running for 6 hours. The refrigerator switches back to the originally set temperature which is valid again. The actual temperature of the fridge can be seen on the display. The COOLMATIC function can be turned off manually by pressing the COOLMATIC button again at any time.
