They contain important information for safe use, for installation and for care of the appliance. Please keep these operating instructions for future reference. The freezer section or the whole appliance switches itself off. 3 The appliance is only completely disconnected from the electricity supply when the power plug has been removed from the power outlet. Defrost freezer compartment and clean the appliance thoroughly (see section: "Maintenance and Cleaning"). Leave the doors open to avoid accumulation of odours. 818 36 55-02/9 25 Control and Information Systems The control and information systems consist of temperature displays, an optical warning display and an acoustic warning. The system warns: ­ when there is a power cut; ­ when the appliance doors are open ­ if the temperature in the refrigerator or freezer compartment is too high; ­ if there are functional faults with the appliance. Power cut warning After an interruption to the power supply, POWER is displayed in the display and the current Actual temperature is displayed again.
