Nevertheless as a manufacturer we are committed to familiarise you with the following safety instructions: General safety The appliance may only be connected to a power supply with the same voltage as that specified on the type plate (8)! Never use the kettle if it has been dropped or has evidently been damaged. Repairs to the kettle may only be carried out by qualified personnel. Cleaning and care The automatic switch off The kettle will switch itself off automatically and the pilot light will go out when the water has boiled. If you want to interrupt the boiling cycle before it switches off automatically, simply press the ON/OFF switch (5) or lift the kettle. If you want to reheat water which has already been heated, press the ON/OFF button again (5). Descaling Limescale filter The limescale filter (7) in the spout retains any limescale residues in the kettle. 0 To remove the limescale filter, push it downwards on the top cover. 0 To fit the limescale filter, insert it into the spout and pull upwards on the cover until it engages. Safety system The appliance should be descaled regularly depending on the level of the water hardness. Use a standard descaler following the directions; preferably choose an environmentally friendly product.
