The top three option let you export a map section only. The last two options let you export a route. Exporting a map Select the type of region you want to cut out and export. There are three choices: rectangular - cut out a rectangular/square region of the map elliptic - cut out an oval/circular region of the map polygonal - cut out in irregular, user defined region. All layers with a tick next to them will be exported. Note that all the layers have sub layers which can be selected/deselected individually. To see these click the '+' next to the layer you want. Click Next to continue. Enter where you want the data to be exported to and what you want the map to be called (Map name). © 2004 . . . Directions Ltd Using Navigator 44 Exporting a route Here you have two choices: found route and its route corridor - exports the navigation data for the route selected below and a user defined map area either side of the route. found route only - exports the navigation data only for the route selected below. If you are exporting a route and map then you will now be shown the layer selection dialog. This dialog lets you select which map layers you want to export. All layers with a tick next to them will be exported. [. . . ] In most cases the quickest solution is to unplug the GPS and plug it back in. If you have a detachable USB cable (like on a Haicom 204) then simply detach the unit from the cable. The mouse should stop jumping immediately.
