[. . . ] Load a disc Press OPEN button on the remote control (or front panel) to open the disc tray. Load a disc and press OPEN to close the disc tray. Automatic Play The unit will take a few seconds to download the disc initial data, display the disc type logo at the right upper corner of the TV screen, and then start playing automatically. CURSOR If a DVD disc menu appears on screen Press CURSOR buttons to select the desired feature in the menu. And then press the ENTER button to confirm a selection. Returning to the disc main menu, press MENU button on the remote. ENTER OPEN Problem disc messages Incorrect disc format When a DVD disc of incorrect format (region code) is loaded. The player will not accept the disc and the message (REGION!) will be displayed on screen. Production qualities of DVD discs vary, some discs might deviate from the industrial standard. Some incorrectly formatted discs may playback on the player. However, the playback and operational quality of those discs may be substandard. - 15 - Tuner Mode Switch on the player, make sure the antenna has been properly connected. Tune a channel The player equipped with a built-in digital PLL tunning system, with automatic search function. FREQUENCY CHANNEL To auto search the next higher frequency channel: Press and hold the upper FREQUENCY button on the front control until the VFD display shows the word AUTO or press and hold the SEARCH button on the remote control until the VFD display shows the word AUTO. To auto search the next lower frequency channel: Press and hold the lower FREQUENCY button on the front control until the VFD display shows the word AUTO or press and hold the SEARCH button on the remote control until the VFD display shows the word AUTO. Press the FREQUENCY / button on the front panel slightly, or press the SEARCH / button on the remote control slightly to fine tune the frequency up or down. To store a preset program The player provide 20 preset program memory for each radio bands. To store a preset program, tune a channel: Press FUNCTION button on the front panel, Turn the volume knob on the front panel. or Press BAND button on the remote to switch between FM and AM receiving. Press FREQUENCY button on the front panel or press SEARCH button on the remote to tune the desired frequency. Press CHANNEL button on the front panel or press SKIP button on the remote to select the desired preset channel.
