Changing Lighting Colour (CDE-102Ri/CDE-103BT only)
ILUM TYPE1 (Initial setting) / TYPE2 / TYPE3 / TYPE4
· Press /SOUND to return to the previous mode. · If no operation is performed for 60 seconds, the unit will return to normal mode automatically.
Bluetooth Setting
Setting the Bluetooth Connection (BT IN)
BT ADAPTER (Initial setting) / BT OFF
You can change the lighting colour of the following four buttons. SOURCE/ , BAND/TA, , .
TYPE1 : TYPE2 : TYPE3 : TYPE4 : When the colour of the four buttons is blue, the colour of the other is red. When the colour of the four buttons is green, the colour of the other is green. When the colour of the four buttons is amber, the colour of the other is red. When the colour of the four buttons is red, the colour of the other is red.
With Bluetooth technology, you can place a hands-free call by a Bluetooth-equipped mobile phone.
CDE-101R/CDE-101RM/CDE-102Ri: If an optional Bluetooth INTERFACE (KCE-400BT) is connected, make this setting when the Bluetooth function is used. For details, refer to the Owner's Manual of the optional Bluetooth INTERFACE (KCE-400BT). Set ADAPTER when the Bluetooth INTERFACE (KCE-400BT) is connected.
Scroll Type Setting
SCR TYPE1 / SCR TYPE2 (Initial setting)
· The button can be used only when the optional Bluetooth INTERFACE (KCE-400BT) is connected. · If the mobile phone compatible with the Voice Dial function is connected, the Voice Dial function can be used.
CDE-103BT/CDE-104BTi: Set ADAPTER when the Bluetooth function is used. For details on the set up procedure, refer to "Bluetooth SETUP" on page 21.
Choose from two scrolling methods. Select the type you prefer.
SCR TYPE1: SCR TYPE2: The characters scroll from right to left, a single character at a time. Words are built up from left to right, a single character at a time. When the display is filled, it is cleared and the remaining words are displayed the same way until all words of the title have been shown.
Sound Customizing
Adjusting Source Signal Levels
FM-LV HI (Initial setting) / FM-LV LOW

SCR AUTO / SCR MANU (Initial setting)
If the difference in volume level between the CD player and FM radio is too great, adjust the FM signal level.
This CD player can scroll the disc and track names recorded on CD-TEXT discs, as well as the text information of MP3/WMA/AAC files, folder names and tags.
SCR AUTO: The CD text information, the text information of folder and file names, and the tags are scrolled automatically. The display is scrolled when a disc is loaded or when a track is changed, etc.
Subwoofer On and Off
SUBW ON (Initial setting) / SUBW OFF
When the subwoofer is on, perform the steps below to adjust the subwoofer output level. 1 In the normal mode, press Rotary encoder (AUDIO) repeatedly to select the SUBWOOFER mode.

Setting the Subwoofer System

This unit has a demonstration feature for the display. · To quit Demo mode, set to DEMO OFF.
Select either SYS 1 or SYS 2 for the desired subwoofer effect.
SUBW SYS 1: Subwoofer level changes according to the main volume setting. SUBW SYS 2: Subwoofer level change is different from the main volume setting. [. . . ] As each pin is unlocked, gently pull out on the unit to make sure it does not re-lock before unlocking the second pin. Pull the unit out, keeping it unlocked as you do so.
