To go back to where you were, press STOP. Alternatively you can go back to the previous screen or page by selecting lBackl or . If there is no previous page to go back to, pressing STOP will have no effect. (The Amsurf menu will remain displayed. ) Note on some pages you may need to press STOP twice rapidly to go back to the previous page. If you find that you can't move away from a page, simply press INTERNET to go back to the Amsurf menu.
Automatic time-out
If there is no internet activity for about 10 minutes, the e-m@iler will time-out and go offline automatically. This is to save you money by preventing long surfing calls. Note that the current page will remain displayed after automatic time-out (although the will change to offline ). Therefore, if you have stopped surfing online symbol for a while and notice that the e-m@iler is offline ( ), simply continue surfing and the e-m@iler will go back online ( ) when necessary. After the e-m@iler has timed-out, you may still be able to view offline the last few pages you visited these are stored in the e-m@iler's temporary memory. Press D to highlight lAddll then press SELECT to store. (The page will then be re-displayed. )

At this point you can select any new link, go back to the previous page or go to a new address. You can also go to any other favourite that you've stored (see page 88). You can use the above display to check a page address if you press STORE on any page, its address will be shown at the top of the display. After checking the address, press STOP to go back to the page itself.

Surfing the internet
Storing favourite page addresses
Use this procedure if you wish to add known page addresses to the favourites list without displaying them. This is a quicker way of storing lots of favourite addresses, and can be carried out offline. Use D to highlight lAdd Favouritel then press SELECT. The following display will appear (see example below). Type in your chosen name for this favourite entry, for example: Word for Today
Note, choosing a previously used name will overwrite the old favourite.
