Laptop and Notebook computer users: You don't need to worry about the bracket blocking a floppy disk drive because the Thumbelina Mounting Bracket will swing out of the way when you need to insert a floppy disk. The Mounting Bracket is simply attached using the enclosed 'snap lock1 strips. Peel off the paper backing from the 'snap lock* and stick it to the underside of your keyboard near the edge. [. . . ] 25 pin serial port: Connect the PS/2 to 9 pin serial adapter to the end of THUMBELINA's cable. Plug firmly into your serial port and secure. NOTE: NOTE: It is usually impossible to plug the serial adapter into a non-serial port because the connectors are different. You may have more than one serial port on your computer. If this is the case, you can use any open port as long as it is set as COM1 or COM2. Refer to your computer manual for the exact location of the serial port(s). COM. Independently developed, the Appoint driver software is compatible with any application that is designed to use a Microsoft mouse. Once loaded, the Appoint driver remains in memory until you reboot your computer, issue the MOUSE /OFF command (explained later), or turn your computer off.
