Engine oil level Check engine oil level frequently. see the Scheduled maintenance chart for engine oil checking and changing. Take your scooter to an Official aprilia Dealer to carry out the replacement. Engine oil level check (04_01, 04_02) This will allow the oil to settle into the crankcase and cool down. Clean the area in contact with oil with a clean cloth. Screw the cap-dipstick «1» fully down into its tube «2». Remove the cap-dipstick «1» again and read the level the oil reaches on the dipstick: The level is correct when it is close to the «MAX» level marked on the measuring dipstick. Pour a little oil through the dipstick tube "2" and wait one minute so that the oil flows uniformly into the crankcase. check oil level and top-up if necessary. Do so with small quantities of oil at a time until the specified level is reached. After finishing this operation, screw and tighten the tap/dipstick "1". ENGINE OIL AND FILTER REPLACEMENT Take your scooter to an Official aprilia Dealer to carry out the replacement. This will allow the oil to settle into the crankcase and cool down. Unscrew and remove the oil drainage plug «4» and then drain all engine oil. Fit a new oil cartridge filter «3» and take special care to lubricate with oil the filter sealing Orings. Screw and tighten the engine oil drainage plug «4». Refill through the engine oil fill opening «2». Screw and tighten the oil level dipstick «1». [. . . ] Take a container with a capacity higher than the amount of fuel in the tank and place it on the scooter left hand side. To drain the fuel off the tank use a hand-operated pump or a similar system. Take care not to Damage the pump unit (probe checking fuel level in the tank).
