The frame number can be used for the purchase of spare parts. Do not alter the identification numbers if you do not want to incur severe penal and administrative sanctions. In particular, the alteration of the frame number results in the immediate invalidity of the guarantee. ENGINE NUMBER The engine number (1) is stamped on the right side of the engine casing base. FRAME NUMBER The frame number is stamped on the right side of the steering column. Frame no. REMOVING THE SIDE COVERS Carefully read p. 39 (MAINTENANCE). x c The description of the following operations refers to one side cover, but it is valid for both. x c Position the vehicle on the stand. Rotate the quick fastening screw (3) anticlockwise by giving it 1/4 turn. Proceed with care. Do not damage the tangs and/or their seats. Handle the plastic components with care and avoid scraping or damaging them. x a Withdraw and remove the side cover (4). 40 use and maintenance ETX 125 x Clean the filtering element (3) with clean, non-inflammable solvents or solvents with high volatility point, then let it dry thoroughly. x Apply a filter oil or a thick oil (SAE 80W90) on the whole surface of the filtering element, then squeeze it to eliminate the oil in excess. The filtering element (3) must be well impregnated, though not dripping. AIR CLEANER CHANGE x Replace the filtering element (3) with a new one of the same type. x Check the condition of the gasket (8); if it is damaged, change it.
