REMOTE TEST UNITS FOR TEMSTM AUTOMATIC
The next generation of autonomous test units has arrived. The unit is smaller, more powerful, and more robust than our previous mobile test units, with support for up to three embedded measurement devices. [. . . ] The RTUs have advanced autonomous operation and are controlled remotely from the TEMS Automatic back-end server. The timing, location, and type of testing can be configured in this way. Even software and firmware upgrades can be performed remotely. The RTU can be configured together with one Transceiver Test Unit (TTU), which is a small boxed solution containing a Sierra Wireless MC8700 embedded module that is mounted to the RTU itself. An external scanner, either a Scanning Receiver Unit (SRU), a PC-Tel EX or PC-Tel EX mini (also mounted on the RTU) is also available. The RTU itself holds up to three embedded measurement devices (Ericsson F3607gw and, or Sierra Wireless MC8700), an 8 slot SIM switch, and a dedicated data upload modem, together with a GPS. The RTU operates without a fan, which represents an important enhancement, particularly for in-building deployment as a fixed test unit.
