Duringprocessing, statisticsarecalculatedforthe numberofovershootingcallsandthenumberofcallsestablishedinpoor quality. Detailedinvestigationofthecallsestablishedineachdistanceband andthequalityofthosecallscanalsobeshowninchartsandonthemap.

Detailed Investigations ExceptionAnalysissummarizesallGPEHmessagesrecordedforthe selected scope and all the TEMS Visualization events generated. For selected GPEH messages, users can drill down even further and count the occurrencesofdifferentRABtypesandcausevalues. Thereisnomoreeffectivewaytofindtherootcausesofnetworkproblems. Callscontaining theselectedeventscanthenbesenttoCallAnalysis. Call Analysisallowsdrill-downtotheindividualcalllevel. CallshighlightedinanyfeaturecanbesenttoCallAnalysisforin-depthexamination. Sequencesofsignalingmessagesareshown, andthereasonsbehindproblemssuchasblockedanddroppedcallscanbeinvestigatedingreatdetail. Users can follow radio measurements per call, view detailed content for individualmessages, retrievedistanceandqualityinformation, andanalyze largegroupsofcallscanbeanalyzedforpatterns. Thisextremelypowerful featurecan, forexample, quicklydetermineifalldroppedcallsinacellare generatedbythesameuseroronthesameRABtype. Geo-location of selected eventsisbasedonmeasurementsmadeby themobileandreportedtotheRNC. Areaswhereseveralcellsareinvolved inoverlappingcoveragearegeo-locatedonthemap, allowingengineersto determineif: CellsareprovidingcoverageinunwantedareasandcausingPilot Pollution. Wantedcellcoveragewillstillbegoodif, forexample, thepollutingcells aredown-tilted. ThereasonbehindPilotPollutionissimplypoorcoverage. In addition, dropped calls can be geo-located, with the number of droppedcallsineach100mx100mbindisplayedonthemap. Clickingon abinpresentsdetailsforthedropsinthatbinandallowsfurtherdrill-down.

TEMSVisualizationincludesthemostwidelyusedmapengineinthe world, MapInfo'sMapExtreme®. Thismakesitpossibletoreuseallthe mapscurrentlyusedinTEMSTMInvestigationandMapInfo.
