ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 utility
The ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 is an auto recovery tool that allows you to restore the BIOS file when it fails or gets corrupted during the updating process. You can update a corrupted BIOS file using the motherboard support CD, floppy, or USB flash disk that contains the updated BIOS file.
Prepare the motherboard support CD, floppy, or USB flash disk containing the updated motherboard BIOS before using this utility.
Recovering the BIOS from the support CD
To recover the BIOS from the support CD: 1. Insert the motherboard support CD to the optical drive. The utility displays the following message and automatically checks the CD for the BIOS file.

When found, the utility reads the BIOS file and starts flashing the corrupted BIOS file.

Recovering the BIOS from the USB flash disk
To recover the BIOS from the USB flash disk: 1. The utility will automatically checks the devices for the BIOS file When found, the utility reads the BIOS file and starts flashing the corrupted BIOS file. Restart the system after the utility completes the updating process.

BIOS setup program
This motherboard supports a programmable Low-Pin Count (LPC) chip that you can update using the provided utility described in section "4. 1 Managing and updating your BIOS. " Use the BIOS Setup program when you are installing a motherboard, reconfiguring your system, or prompted to"Run Setup. " This section explains how to configure your system using this utility. Even if you are not prompted to use the Setup program, you can change the configuration of your computer in the future. For example, you can enable the security password feature or change the power management settings. This requires you to reconfigure your system using the BIOS Setup program so that the computer can recognize these changes and record them in the CMOS RAM of the LPC chip. The LPC chip on the motherboard stores the Setup utility. When you start up the computer, the system provides you with the opportunity to run this program. Press <Del> during the Power-On Self-Test (POST) to enter the Setup utility; otherwise, POST continues with its test routines. If you wish to enter Setup after POST, reboot the system by doing any of the following procedures:
· Restart using the OS standard shut-down procedure. · Press <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Del> simultaneously. · Press the reset button on the system chassis. [. . . ] Press <Ctrl+X> to save settings and exit.
Rebuilding a RAID array
To rebuild a RAID array: 1. From the Array List menu, use the up or down arrow keys to select a RAID array then press <Enter>. The RAID Array details appear.
