[. . . ] Select either one of the preset overclocking configuration options:
Manual Auto CPU Level Up Allows you to individually set overclocking parameters. Loads the standard settings for the system. Allows you to select a CPU level, and the related parameters will be adjusted automatically.
OC From CPU Level Up [Auto]
After you select a CPU level and set Ai Overclock Tuner to [Manual], the FSB Frequency and DRAM Frequency items will be adjusted accordingly. Configuration options: [Auto] [E6400] [E6550] [E6600] [E6700] [X6800] [E6850] [Crazy]
Ratio CMOS Setting [Auto]
Allows you to adjust the ratio between CPU Core Clock and FSB Frequency. Enter a ratio using the numeric keypad, and the system will detect possible values. Use the <+> and <-> keys to select a ratio. The valid value ranges differently according to your CPU model.
The following item appears when you set Ai Overclock Tuner to [Manual].
FSB Frequency [XXX]
Displays the frequency sent by the clock generator to the system bus and PCI bus. Use the <+> and <-> keys to adjust the FSB frequency. You can also type the desired FSB frequency using the numeric keypad. Refer to the table below for the correct Front Side Bus and CPU External Frequency settings.
3-12
Chapter 4: BIOS setup
FSB/CPU External Frequency Synchronization
Front Side Bus CPU External Frequency FSB 1600 400 MHz FSB 1333 333 MHz FSB 1066 266 MHz FSB 800 200 MHz
FSB Strap to North Bridge [Auto] DRAM Frequency [Auto]
Configuration options: [Auto] [200MHz] [266MHz] [333MHz] [400MHz] Allows you to set the DDR2 operating frequency. Configuration options: [Auto] [DDR2-667MHz] [DDR2-800MHz] [DDR2-835MHz] [DDR2-887MHz] [DDR2-1002 MHz] [DDR2-1066MHz] [DDR2-1111MHz] [DDR2-*1200MHz*]
The DDR2 frequency reaches 1200 MHz after overclocking. Setting a high voltage may damage the CPU permanently, and setting a low voltage may make the system unstable.
CPU PLL Voltage [Auto]
Allows you to select the CPU PLL voltage. The text color in the configuration field corresponds to the onboard CPU LED color, both of which indicate voltage condition. When you set the CPU LED Selection item to [CPU PLL], the onboard CPU LED displays CPU PLL voltage condition. Refer to page 2-1 for CPU LED definition. The values range from 1. 50V to 2. 78V with a 0. 02V interval.
FSB Termination Voltage [Auto]
Allows you to select the Front Side Bus Termination voltage. The text color in the configuration field corresponds to the onboard NB LED color, both of which indicate voltage condition. When you set the NB LED Selection item to [VTT], the onboard northbridge LED displays FSB Termination voltage condition. Refer to page 2-2 for northbridge LED definition. The values range from 1. 10V to 2. 00V with a 0. 01325V interval.
Setting a high FSB termination voltage may damage the chipset and CPU.
DRAM Voltage [Auto]
Allows you to select the DRAM voltage. The text color in the configuration field corresponds to the onboard memory LED color, both of which indicate voltage condition. Refer to page 2-2 for memory LED definition. [. . . ] Auto detect ports for keyboard & mouse followed by a port & interface DIS MS swap (optional). Test F000h segment shadow to see whether it is R/W-able or not. If test R/W FSEG fails, keep beeping the speaker. Auto detect flash type to load appropriate flash R/W codes into the run time DET FLASH area in F000 for ESCD & DMI support. [. . . ]
