The serial number can be found on the back of the desk near the power socket and on the keyboard drawer; the software version is displayed on the title bar of the Diamond application on the VDU. The latest version of this manual and Diamond Software can be downloaded from the Avolites website. [. . . ] Select the fixtures for which you want to store palette values. Using the attribute buttons and wheels, set the attributes you want in the palette entry. You can store any or all attributes of a fixture in each palette entry. Select which attributes are to be recorded in the palette. D turns them all off, and you can turn them back on individually using A [Press to set mask]. It's best to save only one type of attribute (e. g. The top line of the display shows you which attributes will be saved. Select whether all modified fixtures are to be saved (softkey G) or just currently selected ones (softkey F). Select if the palette is to be Shared or Normal (softkeys I and J). Press a grey Palette button to store the palette. 3> Rec Palette button 4> 5> 6> 7> 8> · F [Save selected fixtures only] is useful if you are in the middle of programming and don't want to have to press Clear. You can save only the fixtures which are selected and ignore all other fixtures in the programmer. When setting the Mask options using A [Press to set mask] there are three possible settings for each attribute group: [Exclude All <attribute> channels] will miss out the attribute from the saved palette [Save All <attribute> channels] will store the current setting of the attribute even if it's not in the programmer [Save <attribute> channels in the programmer] will store the current setting of the attribute only if it is in the programmer. This last option is like "Record by channel" mode. · 4. 1. 5 Mask locking The Diamond can lock the mask used for saving palettes, so that you can only save the attributes which are already stored in the palette. This can be handy for making sure you don't accidentally store unwanted attributes into existing palettes when you are editing or updating them. To lock the palette mask do the following: 1> 2> 3> On the VDU menu bar click on Tools, then User Setting. Ensure the tick box labelled Lock Palette Mask is ticked. Palettes - Page 149 · This option does not affect the creation of new palettes, just the editing of existing palettes. 4. 2 Playback 4. 2. 1 Recalling a palette value To recall a palette value, this is what you do: 1> Select the fixtures to be changed. Shared palettes can be set to any fixture of the same type. Normal palettes will set individual values to each fixture. Press the grey Palette button you want to recall. The palette will be set to the selected fixtures. You can make palettes fade over a time when you recall them, see section 4. 6. 1 below. 2> · 4. 2. 2 Palette pages You can select different pages of palettes using the Palette Bank ­1 and +1 buttons below softkey B. Updating Cues Live: Record cue did not update a live cue. Now if you update a live cue, the update will occur immediately. 22.
