Yellow Safety Straps Must Be Released Before Folding Simple Lift & Fold With a simple lift of the straps, Baby Jogger's new Q-Series strollers fold in half, which makes transporting them easier than ever before. Combine that technology with our reputation for quality and durability and you have the world's best lineup of high performance strollers. 1 Frame 1 2 3 · To assemble, simply unfold frame as shown. 2 4 Front Wheel 1 To install front wheel, lay stroller back so handle is resting on floor. Open the caliper by flipping the caliper lever toward the rear wheels. 2 Insert the front wheel into the fork tips by aligning the axle flats with the fork tip flats. 3 Tighten by turning the wheel lever and holding the opposite side. 4 Close the wheel lever making sure that it is facing toward the back of the stroller. Caliper Lever 5 Close caliper by flipping the caliper lever toward the fork tips. Wheel Lever 3 Rear Wheels · To install, gently slide the wheel's rear axle into the hole in the axle end until you hear it click into place. · To remove, simply push in the spring lock while pulling out the wheel. 4 Brakes Hand Brake with Parking Button · To use the parking button feature, simply squeeze the brake handle and push the park brake button. JOGGER IS PACKAGED WITH THE HAND BRAKE ASSEMBLY LOOSE. TIGHTENING IS NECESSARY FOR SAFE OPERATION! Adjusting the Brake Parking Button Cylinder Ring Small Ring · Rotate hand brake assembly upward to a comfortable position then tighten bolt (clockwise) on the hand brake assembly with supplied allen wrench as shown. Rear Wheel Parking Brake · Simply push brake pedal down to engage brake and lift up to release. · If you don't have good braking action, simply squeeze the brake handle five or six times. If the problem persists, loosen the brake's cylinder ring to adjust the small ring, and then move the small ring away from the handle to tighten the cable. (Please do not over tighten!) To lock the rings, tighten the cylinder ring against the handle while holding the small ring in place. Brake Pedal 5 Safety Harness Adjusting safety harness: 1 Loosen the shoulder straps from their plastic guides. 2 Slide the end of each strap through pair of seat loops closest to your child's shoulder. 3 Slide the end of the shoulder strap back into plastic guide. Please note: If you feel the straps are too tight, you may adjust their length by sliding the plastic guides toward the top of the seat. 4 Lock both sides of the strap mechanism into the center buckle. To adjust the center strap, move its plastic guide up or down. WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use safety harness! 6 Reclining Seat 1 Simply adjust seat straps to desired degree of recline. 2 Pull on strap when you want to return the seat to its upright position. 3 Rear flap serves as sun canopy when seat is in reclined position. 4 Jogger is packaged with seat support board and can be easily removed or inserted into the seat back if additional support is desired. Be sure to remove the board from the back of the seat before washing. 7 Seat 1 Snap seat to frame. 2 Attach bottom part of seat to footplate with the Velcro. 3 Wrap bottom straps around frame, thread strap through D-ring and secure. 4 Snap center seat anchor straps to each other. 8 5 Attach seat anchor straps to rear frame uprights. 6 Snap safety strap to frame. NOTE: Some Joggers are shipped with the Canopy, Seat and Basket pre-assembled. Assembly instructions are given if any pre-assemble items are removed for cleaning or replacement. 7 Thread folding strap through openings in seat. 8 Attach folding strap to folding trigger and secure the triangle shaped fastener. ALWAYS BE SURE THE YELLOW SAFETY STRAP IS SECURELY SNAPPED ONTO THE FRAME BEFORE USING JOGGER! 9 Basket 1 Snap front basket straps to frame tube. 2 Wrap rear basket straps around upright and snap back to itself. Note: The rear of basket has the mesh material and the front doesn't. 10 Canopy You will need a friend to help attach the sun canopy and a phillips head screwdriver. Center Hole 1 Unsnap and lower the top section of seats to reveal the mounting holes for the sun canopy brackets. Mounting Holes 2 Thread the center support of the sun canopy through the seat's center hole and secure to the frame using a phillips head screwdriver. Secure side brackets to mounting holes on side of frame. 3 At the top corners of the sun canopy there should be two Velcro straps, snap the canopy strap to the frame and Velcro it back to itself. 4 Now secure center of sun canopy around center bar on Jogger frame. 11 In Motion Steering · Steering your stroller is simple: it's balanced to turn with just a light touch on the handlebar. For tighter turns, push down on the handlebar and raise the front wheel to steer. Wrist Strap · Make sure wrist strap is around your wrist whenever your baby is in the stroller. The Baby Jogger is lightweight and ready to roll ­ with or without you ­ and the wrist strap helps you gain control over your stroller. In the Dark · Since we are concerned about the safety of you and your baby, we recommend that you not use your stroller at night. However, if you choose to, please attach reflective strips to the wheel spokes and the seat.
